-- Ben Lee, Awake is the New Sleep
Woke up early to the sound of rain. How glorious. Dressed and popped out to witness Mikey and Bec get married. I must confess that I love weddings. And Bec looked beautiful. So did Mikey. And they looked very happy. It's very lucky to rain on your wedding day. I wish them both happiness and love together. They very much deserve it.
Bustled a bit with a bunch of people after the ceremony - nice to check in, even if it was a bit brief.
Back home to finally make headway in my study. Did a budget for the rest of 2009 and 2010 with projected costs and required cash flow for TPP projects. Ew! Attacked the papers in my study with a "sort and file one item at a time approach" and lo and behold, I can see a lot of cleared desk top now. My aim for the weekend is to finish balancing TPP books. *gasp* Not quite sure it can be done but going to give it a good go.
I'm sort of intending to take the weekend off. I laughed at that idea driving home this morning - don't most people take the weekends off from work? And here I am justifying it to myself. I am a nutter. And in any case, I'm not actually taking it off cause I have Horn to sign off and send for printing. And Shiny 5 to send to layout. And contracts to sort. And. And. And.
And I really want a nap.
I'm taking my brother in law's lead and have put a bunch of good albums into the CD player and I'm kicking back and enjoying good music, ok coffee, and just finishing small tasks that will tidy things up and clear white noise.
