Last night in Hobart and Tasmania

Here I am, its 1am, I am wide eye awake - alcohol does that to me (I've tried to tell maelkann this before but he doesn't believe me). I'm wrapped up under Tansy's gorgeous charm quilt and my mind is racing. This has been a really crazy ride, this trip. And I'm sure one post is not going to remotely do it justice.

It's been really awesome to hang out in person with my friends. It's not something that happens often and it's so very easy to take it for granted at cons. And we (I?) probably should try not to, in future. I've really cherished the conversations we've shared, the things I've been taught, the thoughts and feelings I've shared and those that have been shared with me. I have so much to take away and process. So much I need to mull over. And ... well, having someone special to share all that with, too.

I've been sort of taking an actual holiday from Twelfth Planet Press which is probably quite ridiculous to say given I also read and responded my way through all the submissions to Sprawl. I might also have begun working on Cold Cases. I've tried to balance clearing my head and personal space with not getting too far behind in the schedule and properly taking advantage of my break from work and home responsibilities. I've also spent the fortnight talking publishing almost nonstop, throwing ideas around (or being thrown at me) and recharging my soul.

2010 is gonna be awesome!
