A Book of Endings by Deborah Biancotti has been shortlisted for the Crawford award and for Best Collection in the Aurealis Awards for 2009. This collection brings together 15 of Biancotti's previously published works, many award winners in their own right, and presents 6 new stories. This book is a showcase of one of Australia's leading short story writers in speculative fiction today. Sample any or all the following new works, each eligible in the Best Short Story Category of the Hugos, by request at twelfthplanetpress @ gmail dot com:

"Diamond Shell"
"Problems of Light and Dark"
"Coming up for Air"

Twelfth Planet Press is also supporting the campaign to get "Wives" by Paul Haines on the Hugo ballot. Haines is offering this work for free - visit him here. "Wives" is one of the strongest pieces of fiction published in 2009. It's well worth the opportunity to grab an electronic copy for free. It's both disturbing and deeply gripping - Haines at his absolute best.
